Google is expected to introduce the new Pixel 8A at its I/O developer conference next month. That’s probably a contributing factor for the new all-time low price we’re seeing on the midrange Pixel 7A we were introduced to during last year’s event. Amazon, Best Buy, and Google all have it down to $349, which is $150 off the original price.

Buying it directly from Google is the better deal, as you’ll also get three months of YouTube Premium and Google One, the latter supplementing the device’s 128GB of storage with 100GB of extra cloud storage.

The Pixel 7A includes several features that are hard to find for around $500, including wireless charging and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It’s not the cheapest phone in the class, but it’s the one that’s best suited to go the distance. Read our review.

The Pixel 8A’s impending arrival could cause a deeper price drop, or perhaps Google will cement today’s discount as a permanent change. But if you need a new phone right now, you shouldn’t hesitate to jump on this deal. Even at its original price, we think the Google Pixel 7A is still one of the best Android phones you can buy. It has the same Tensor G2 chipset that runs the show on the flagship-level Pixel 7, which offers exceptional performance and optimizations that allow the battery to stretch as much as three days. And its dual camera system remains the best you can get for the money.

The Pixel 7A is a show stealer on other merits, too, like a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Qi wireless charging. In addition to regular software feature drops to enhance its capabilities, it’s also guaranteed to receive at least two more major platform-level updates, which means you’ll get the incoming Android 15 and should be set for whatever evolutions Google has planned for Android 16, plus many more security updates between and beyond.
